Background information
WHAT IS NUDE?
Nude is building the easiest, most enjoyable way for people to save for and purchase their first home. They're doing this by providing an approachable app, that provides tips to save for a house, paired with a lifetime ISA which allows individuals and couples to receive government tax incentives to save for their first home.
THE PROBLEM
Understand how we can improve conversion rate from sign up to connected account during onboarding.
Target Market / Personas
Individuals and couples saving for their first home in the UK. They have started saving towards their goals, but want to understand how they can decrease the time it takes them to make their purchase.
MY ROLE
To work alongside the founders and part time user researcher to conduct a comprehensive UX audit of the onboarding journey, referencing where the screens throughout this flow can be improved, and listing areas which might be contributing to drop off. During the audit I built assumptions around why certain steps have a worse conversion, I analysed the Nude data against the audit to to validate these assumptions. The key focus here was to understand why users are dropping off at certain stages, and how we can fix these areas.
OUTCOME
My findings we're fed into the engineering teams and pushed into the following sprints. Over time and with plenty more iterations the metrics improved dramatically.
Directly after my consulting work, Nude successfully closed a £3.5m in funding and launched their product shortly after. Nude currently has over 35,000 users.

Seven months after leaving the above startup, I decided to pick up this user testing app, and bootstrap it into a full product offering that I would take out to customers and other design teams. This meant taking the learnings and mistakes made for the initial concept, and correcting them for the next iteration.
